US solar installations fall puts 72,000 jobs at risk

FINANCIAL TIMES 🔒| Solar installations by homes and businesses across the US are set to slide by a third this year, resulting in thousands of job losses, as the coronavirus pandemic knocks a booming industry off course.


Efforts to contain the spread of the virus led to widespread work stoppages as well as permit delays, while demand among consumers has tumbled, according to a joint report by Wood Mackenzie and the Solar Energy Industries Association.
