New transmission line to connect Germany’s northern wind farms with its southern manufacturing cente

POWER GRID INTERNATIONAL | Yesterday, Tractebel said that it won a 6-year EPCM (engineering, procurement, and construction management) contract with Germany’s biggest transmission grid operator, TenneT for the execution of a new 380-kV overhead transmission line, covering a distance of 145 km between Dollern and Landesbergen. The “A250 Stade-Landesbergen” project will contribute to the success of the energy transition in Germany, connecting wind power generated in the north with the energy-intensive manufacturing industry in the south.
