BP commits big investments towards its ‘Net Zero Emissions by 2050’ target

FORBES | Eyes were no doubt rolling across the oil and gas business and in the environmentalist community in February when BP CEO Bernard Looney informed a London audience that his company had plans to transform the way it does business to include a higher focus on green energy investments, with a goal to achieve a net zero emissions target by 2050. Absent any real details on how the company planned to get there, the whole thing brought to mind the company’s campaign of 20 years ago to “transform” itself from British Petroleum to just “BP.”
