A Swedish energy startup wants to make electricity consumption smarter

FORBES | Electric vehicles will help supply the correct amount of energy to the grid, thanks to the Swedish-Norwegian smart charging technology Tibber.


The company was able to deliver 100 KW bids, comprising roughly 100 chargers for electric vehicles, and is now ramping up the bidding to megawatt scale with thousands of chargers.


Tibber has recently been approved by the Swedish national grid Svenska Kraftnät to bid in the primary reserve balancing market, known as the Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR), with demand flexibility in the form of its customers’ electric vehicles.
